ITSC provides Nessus professional, an OS vulnerability scanning tool, for departments to check the vulnerability of their own servers. Nessus professional is a widely used scanner for OS level vulnerability assessment. As a general-purpose scanner, Nessus can be used to perform a variety of tasks, including vulnerability detection, configuration auditing and patch status reporting.
