Dear Faculty Members,

With the support from Prof Yike Guo (Provost), Prof Tim Cheng (VPRD), and Prof Penger Tong (AVPRD), to aid and encourage HKUST researchers in utilizing HKUST SuperPOD cluster for their research, a subsidy program is now offered. Details are as follows:

HKUST SuperPOD Subsidy Program

A new subsidy program will be introduced, offering up to 70% subsidy on usage charges during the 6-month promotional period from 1 Feb to 31 Jul 2025. Principal Investigators (PIs) who have already applied for a subsidy in the current promotion (from 1 Dec 2024 to 31 Jan 2025) will automatically be extended to the new subsidy program without needing to reapply.

A subsidy of up to 80% is available to PIs who could commit to using dedicated computational resources within a period. If you are interested, please contact us at spodsupport@ust.hk.

If your research project is not currently using HKUST SuperPOD but would like to start under the new subsidy promotion, please visit the SuperPOD Account Application webpage to apply for an account and complete the HKUST SuperPOD Promotional Subsidy Application Form. For existing SuperPOD projects that have not yet joined the subsidy promotion, please complete the HKUST SuperPOD Promotional Subsidy Application Form to participate in the subsidy promotion.
