Dear Faculty Members,
With the support from Prof Yike Guo (Provost), Prof Tim Cheng (VPRD), and Prof Penger Tong (AVPRD), to aid and encourage HKUST researchers in utilizing HKUST HPC4 cluster for their research, a subsidy program is now offered. Details are as follows:
Trial Period Extension and Subsidy Program for HKUST HPC4
The trial period of HPC4 cluster will be extended to 28 Feb 2025, and usage starting from 1 Mar 2025 will be charged according to HPC4 Charging Model. Additional details about transitioning to the charging phase will be communicated via email to current HPC4 Principal Investigators (PIs).
To promote the usage of HPC4 cluster, a subsidy program will be launched for a 6-month promotional period from 1 Mar to 31 Aug 2025. Eligible users will have a subsidy up to 40% on their usage in the promotional period. The subsidized charging rate is highly competitive and not easily obtainable in the market.
PIs may apply for a subsidy for their research groups using the HPC4 cluster by completing HKUST HPC4 Promotional Subsidy Application Form. If your research project is not currently utilizing the HPC4 cluster and wishes to do so, please visit HPC4 Account Application webpage to apply for an account, and then complete the HKUST HPC4 Promotional Subsidy Application Form to join the subsidy promotion.
Wishing everyone a prosperous Year of the Snake and a joyful holiday. Feel free to reach out to us at hpc4support@ust.hk should you have any inquiries.
