Classroom Network
Wired and wireless networks are available in all HKUST lecture theaters and classrooms to assist instructors with their teaching.
Registration
A simple one-time registration is all that is needed to join the wired Classroom Network. Simply login and enter your network adapter card’s ethernet address. A message will appear on the screen if you are successful.
NOTE: After registering, it will take about 10 minutes for your application to become effective, so please register your network card well beforehand.
Technical Information
You will require a notebook with a LAN port and (approx) four-meter UTP cable. A Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server has been set up to assign an IP address to each computer to facilitate mobile network access point services.
