This page provides sample instructions for HKUST Staff & Students to set up Windows 11 devices to connect to CSL Wi-Fi Service.

 Configure and Access CSL Wi-Fi

Step 1: Bring Up Wireless Network Connection Menu

1. Click Network icon in the system tray ( located at bottom right corner normally )

2. Select Manage Wi-Fi connections (>) on the Wi-Fi quick setting

3. Select Universities via CSL

4. Tick Connect automatically ( Note: If you don't want to store the password, please untick it )

5. Click Connect

   

Step 2: Enter User Name and Password

1. Enter your HKUST Account with "@ust.hk" or "@connect.ust.hk" in Username field

2. Enter your HKUST Account Password in Password field

3. Click OK

   

Step 3: Verify Server Identity

1. Click Show certificate details

   

2. Make sure

   • Issued to is wireless.ust.hk

   • Issued by is Thawte TLS RSA CA G1

   • Server thumbprint is D1 4D 65 C6 A3 DD D1 EF 66 26 33 40 48 A3 94 BC 39 E1 6A 07

3. Click Connect
