The HPC3 is a collaborative project individual department, faculty members and ITSO. The equipment was acquired through individual research funding and infrastructure funding support from the Provost Office. On publishing results obtained using this computational facility, please make sure you acknowledge support from the HKUST Central High Performance Computing Cluster.

Apart from the hardware contribution, collaboration between sister Universities is cricual to the success of the project. The idea of sharing idle resources to other users with lower priority was introduced by The Chinese University of Hong Kong. With this mechanism, the cluster can have better resources allocation and utilization and benefit all researchers in the University.
