Dear Colleagues and Students, 

We extend our gratitude to all participants in the trial period of HPC4, which will conclude on 28 February 2025. Commencing on 1 Mar 2025, usage of HPC4 will incur charges. This charging model, endorsed by the University’s senior management, is essential for ensuring the sustainability and ongoing development of HPC resources. For further details regarding the HPC4 charging model, please refer to HPC4 Charging Model. 

To prepare for the transition to the charging model, the HPC4 system will need to undergo a maintenance period on 1 Mar 2025, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in which the HPC4 service will be unavailable.  All running jobs will be terminated on 1 Mar 2025, 9:00 am.   

To enable your research team members to submit jobs after 1 Mar 2025 1:00 pm, Principal Investigators (PIs) are requested to complete the following form by 28 Feb 2025 to confirm their transition to the charging model. During the promotional period from 1 Mar to 31 Aug 2025, a subsidy program is available, providing a 40% subsidy on your usage. For further details, please visit this webpage.
