The Grant Management System is designed for the use of the Research Office (RO) to support all activities related to grant management:

• Administer research proposals and projects include HKUST and Mainland;
• Maintain local/overseas/mainland sponsors and programmes;
• Manage proposals from initial application, shortlisted, interview and approval to awarded projects;
• Handle projects life-cycle from new awarded projects to project completion, involves project creation, maintain PM / PI / Co-I list, fund breakdown, deliverables, billing schedule, project documents and internal workflow approval;
• Handle ITC projects and ITF internship;
• Notify Principle investigators (PI) on awarded / declined projects, project deliverables due dates, project updates and project balance;
• Integration with Financial Management System, notify FO team on project creation and project updates;
• Provide wide-range proposal, project reports and management reports.
