Extend Existing Session

This page provides instructions to extend the existing session manually of the SSL VPN connection on different devices.

Apple macOS

  1. Double-click Pulse Secure in the Applications folder to launch the SSL VPN client

    • Right-click HKUST SSL VPN
    • Click Extend Session
  3. Enter your HKUST Account information
    • User Name: HKUST Account
    • Password: HKUST Account Password
    • Press Connect to connect
Congratulations! You are extended the SSL VPN connection!

Microsoft Windows

  1. Double-click Pulse icon in the notification area to launch the SSL VPN client

    • Click File
    • Click Connections
    • Click Extend Session
  3. Enter your HKUST Account information
    • User Name: HKUST Account
    • Password: HKUST Account Password
    • Press Connect to connect
Congratulations! You are extended the SSL VPN connection!

Linux

  • Extend session function is not available for Linux devices

Android

  • Extend session function is not available for Android devices

Apple iOS

  • Extend session function is not available for Apple iOS devices
