The University provides secure Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) wireless access to alumni when they are visiting public areas of HKUST.

Getting Started

Connections are secured by 802.1X authentication and data encryption. To use the Wi-Fi service, alumni must:

  • Have an alumni email account
  • Have wireless devices equipped with Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) or Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n)
  • Configure the wireless devices to support 802.1X authentication
