Setting up Apple iOS / iPadOS Device to Access Y5ZONE Wi-Fi Service

Configure and Access Y5ZONE Wi-Fi Service

Step 1: Bring Up Wireless Network Connection Menu

  1. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi in the home screen

  2. Change the option of Wi-Fi to ON

  3. Tap Universities via Y5ZONE

Step 2: Enter User Name and Password

  1. Enter your HKUST Account with "@ust.hk" or "@connect.ust.hk" in Username field

  2. Enter your HKUST Account Password in Password field

  3. Tap Join

Step 3: Verify Certificate

  1. Make sure Thawte TLS RSA CA G1 and wireless.ust.hk are shown

  2. Tap More Details

  3. Make sure FINGERPRINTS > SHA-1 is b4 61 a7 a3 54 f4 63 56 68 f5 fd 51 bd ec a6 6c e5 ef 0b 22

  4. Tap Trust

Congratulations! You have connected to Y5ZONE Wi-Fi Service!
