Catering for different scenarios, ITSO works either in-house or with external partners in different technology arena to develop/implement our application portfolio. While PeopleSoft has been the University core development platform, ITSO has adopted newer development platforms such as C#, Java, Node.JS, Drupal. ITSO has also been keeping close eyes on emerging low code development platforms. While Waterfall development approach has been a recognized SDLC methodology adopted widely in ITSO, Agile development approach has been introduced in some of ITSO projects to achieve a better project outcome and user experience. With the needs of integration and exchange of data across disparate applications and/or platforms, ITSO has developed a number of APIs to serve the purposes, together with microservices design in mind to enhance modularity and independence of different application modules.
